The Photo and Video market has evolved into a over user friendly marketplace, the art of being a great visual artist has somewhat taken a backseat to the technology of Digital Media . That being said, here are a few things you might wanna try to give your work that "Wow" Factor, and the advantage over the weekend hobbiest.
Camera Selection is a big decision and very personal, so i will say only this, talk to people close to you who are experienced at Photo and or Video, depending on how you will use yours!
The understanding your subjects "good side", and yes everything you shoot will have a bad side, either because of the lighting, or because of the fact that some things just look better than others from different points of view!
Start with a familiar subject, to get a feel for your camera, dont go try and shoot a movie or supermodel when your dog or tree is blurry, you must know your limitations and the reactions of your camera in all types of settings and be comfortable taking risks to be different!
I'm not a Pro, but I will always be Different !
